ART MARKET BUDAPEST, the international art fair established in 2011 presents a unique artistic composition in perhaps the most exciting exhibition halls and in one of the culturally most attractive cities in Europe, that, while it features some of the exhibitors welcomed even by the oldest art fairs, gives an emphasized presence to a younger generation of galleries and artists including the now emerging stars of the future. ART MARKET BUDAPEST defines a new cultural region: YOUNG EUROPE, where new artistic inspirations and a truly CONTEMPORARY approach to visual arts are in the focus.
ART MARKET BUDAPEST, Eastern Europe’s leading international art fair efficiently and thought-provokingly combines inspiring artistic content originating from the now emerging regions in and beyond Europe as well as the progressive new generation of artists of the already established West.
Exhibitors having arrived from over 35 countries and an annually growing audience of over 30 thousand international visitors clearly indicate that there is a strong demand in the art world for this artistic platform to bring freshness to the European and global art scene.
October 13-16: ART PHOTO BUDAPEST is securing its position as the exclusive art photo fair in the region with a rich intercontinental selection of top quality contemporary photography.
As the dedicated photography section of Art Market Budapest, Eastern Europe’s leading contemporary art fair, ART PHOTO BUDAPEST will return this year with an even broader selection of contemporary photography, this time reaching far beyond the continental boundaries: Europeans will be joined by exhibitors from Korea, Namibia, the United Arab Emirates, the USA and other sources of amazing contemporary photographic content.
Programs for the connoisseur audience will include a presentation on the soon 70 year old Magnum photo agency by Magnum’s own Simone Klein, top international photo professionals will gather for a panel discussion on the impact of László Moholy-Nagy on contemporary photography, a historic but never before shown film featuring Gilbert & George 25 years ago will premiere, the rising star Gideon Mendel will personally present his amazing award-winning Drowning world photo series, just to name a few examples of what will be available for you to enjoy in Budapest between October 13 and 16.
Accompanying events will include exhibitions dedicated to CHIM (David Seymour) curated by the top New York specialist Carole Naggar and an amazing Polish avantgarde selection from Cezary Pieczynski’s private photo collection.
