ART STAGE SINGAPORE in continuing with its well-received ART STAGE SALON brought together esteemed members of the local arts and cultural community for a special and insightful reception on Saturday 4 August 2012. On this particular occasion and as a gesture of support to the local art community, ART STAGE SINGAPORE partnered with Ali Kusono and Linda Ma’s Linda Gallery/MoCA@Loewen for this month’s event to host an informal gathering featuring esteemed special guest and one of Indonesia’s most commendable patrons of the arts, Dr Oei Hong Djien.
Taking place at the Museum of Contemporary Arts (MoCA@Loewen) within the lush surroundings of Dempsey Hill, invitees were treated to an afternoon of delightful conversation and works of art put on display by the gallery. With an excellent turn out of over eighty guests, invitees in attendance were allowed to connect with their peers within the immense surroundings of the private museum at MoCA with works showcasing some fine examples of contemporary Asian art pieces.
A public dialogue, facilitated by ART STAGE SINGAPORE’s founder Lorenzo Rudolf and featuring Dr Oei and Ali Kusono, gave guests key insights in to the current state of the Indonesian contemporary art scene and what key players believe shall be a bright and exciting future ahead. It is through ART STAGE SALON that the local art community shall find growing opportunities to come together in unison in the exchange of ideas and open possibilities of future exciting collaborations and possibilities. ART STAGE SINGAPORE will be held at Marina Bay Sands on January 24-27, 2013.
