Art Dubai 2016 features the largest and most internationally diverse line-up to date—with 94 galleries from 40 countries—exhibiting across three programmes: Contemporary, Modern and Marker. Galleries are presenting rare works by Middle Eastern, African and Asian modern masters through to the world’s most notable contemporary artists of today.
Art Dubai Contemporary 2016 includes an exciting selection of 73 galleries, including major European and American galleries exhibiting in the region for the first time, and a particularly strong showing from South and Central Asia, and the Middle East. Several galleries in the Contemporary halls are opting to present ambitious solo or two-person shows.

ART DUBAI MODERN 2016
Now in its third year, Art Dubai Modern is the only curated programme of its kind in the world, featuring 16 galleries showing rare works by masters from the Middle East, South Asia and Africa.
The 2016 programme was heavily oversubscribed—indicating the increased growth of the market and demand for modern works of the region, and the nurturing role played by this gallery programme. Art Dubai Modern is advised by a committee of eminent art historians including Savita Apte, Catherine David, Kristine Khouri, Nada Shabout and Bisi Silva.

GLOBAL ART FORUM 10: ‘THE FUTURE WAS’
Save the date for the opening sessions of the Global Art Forum, taking place in Dubai, January 9, and—for the first time—in London at the Institute of Contemporary Arts (ICA) on January 14, before continuing at its home at Art Dubai, March 16-19, 2016.
The tenth Global Art Forum explores the ways in which artists, writers, curators, technologists, historians, musicians and thinkers have imagined—and are shaping—the future.
‘The Future Was’ is programmed by Shumon Basar as Commissioner, with Amal Khalaf and Uzma Z. Rizvi as Co-directors.
